Pray for my dad

My dad was admitted to St. Luke's hospital in Boise yesterday for blood clotting in his lungs, kidneys, and legs. I don't know any more details than that, because it is now the middle of the night in Boise so I want to wait before I telephone home to ask. But I have understood blood clotting like this can be potentially life threatening, and from the google search I just did, learned it often requires surgery. So any prayers/thoughts on my dad's behalf would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear this about your dad. I will pray for him. (Love reading your blog BTW even though I never comment. Lo is so adorable, and I do love to hear about the adventures of your family.)

Sending LOTS of prayers! Terrie had these blood clots (also in her lungs, etc) weeks after her youngest was born and was lucky she caught it and was able to avoid surgery. Praying it is the same for your dad.

Grandpa had the same thing happen to him in 2002. I remember our family gathered in the hospital at about 12 am to say a family prayer, and it was the most beautiful prayer!! And I know for me personally it was what got me through the hard times. It is a tough surgery to rehab from. But with the lord's help your family will get through it! We will for sure keep him in our prayers. And be sure to update us when you can!1 (((hug)))

Hi Jenn! I am glad you keep up with our blog--I always read yours too. Miss our Massachusetts friends!

Anna, you are so sweet. Well, you are all sweet. Thank you all so much for the thoughtful comments, prayers, etc. And SUSIE: I thought the same thing. I'm just SO GLAD he went to the hospital when he did, because you know my dad..totally the kind of guy who would just put off going to the hospital. Which he did do for a few days of intense pain, but he went in time to stop the clots from reaching his brain or heart, so that's all that matters.
