Straight version. I don't own a straightener anymore so this version doesn't happen often. Mr. Lo doesn't approve of photo-taking. I think that's what was going on in this shot.
The best part of this new haircut is the side story. I am frugal. The salon was going to charge an extra $20 to cut my hair because it was so long (crazy!). So the morning before going in to the salon, I stuck my hair in a ponytail, stood in the middle of my parent's kitchen, and asked my mom to hack off the hair at the nape of my neck. She obliged. The end result was actually pretty cute! This totally even, almost A-line cut that got me a compliment when I went into the salon!

So pretty!!! Wonderful natural hair color too!
You are beautiful! Your long hair is gorgeous, and your short hair is amazing! I want your new hair cut!!
That's totally bogus that they were going to charge you extra money to take 3 seconds to hack it off. Good for you for thinking ahead and just having your mom do it.
Having a new style is so much fun! It looks great.
Thanks for the compliments. :)
Spring, you reminded me I didn't point out there are a few new blond highlights as well.
Anna, I looked it up online and found that salons who charge more for cutting long hair are the ones that include shampoo/style in the cost of the cut. So technically they can rationalize it takes them a little more product and time to shampoo or style longer hair. So yes, apparently it is pretty common. Crazy as it is.
so cute! I am working on growing my hair out to meet my never ending goal of having long hair one day, but oh how I love cute short hair cuts! plus I think when your hair is shorter you are more likely to actually spend sometime on it, which in turn give you at least a few minutes during the day to focus just on you!
Your new hair looks great! A change always makes me feel fresh and new! Claire calls Lo almost everyday. :)
