First Five Gimme Gimme
I saw this idea on a friend's blog and thought it was a fun way to bribe people to comment. Of course, we do not post blog entries for the primary purpose of fishing for love notes from friends, but it is fun to occasionally get feedback. Also, we would especially like to see if there are any mysterious readers out there whom we did not realize existed. We'll see.
The first five people to comment on this post will get a prize!
Something made by me. my choice. for you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It’ll be done this year. {translation: you may be waiting a little while}
4. You have no clue what it’s going to be … it may be cards, a poem, a bookmark, something yummy or a complete surprise to you (and me!) … who knows? not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
6. This last part I am making optional, because I do not want someone to neglect to leave a comment because of it- Consider posting this offer to your own blog, if you have one. The first 5 people to comment on your blog (or if you do not have a blog, facebook) get something made by YOU!
…Those were the rules as copied from the "A Stranger Here" blog. She added an idea: If you’re not the kind of person that wants to make something tangible for others, how about some kind of service for them, any type, any size? (Additional note: If you live close by, I would love to do the service option. But I am the "tangible" creator kind of person as well, so you could get either option). --CT

I've been reading your blog for about a week now. Sorry about the non-rice paper, lol ;)
And I totally agree with the fact that an argument will never be resolved when you're starting off at two totally different talking points. That's why I try to frame my defense of Prop 8 in terms of rights - rights to disagree, rights to teach our children, rights to act according to our consciences, etc. It works - sometimes :/
yes, so glad I checked your blog today! I need to get ahold of you, but realize that jerry has the phone and will probably not see you again until tonight...but call me..k.
I'm a subscriber to your blog, but I believe you knew that! I would love something made by you. Or if you want to baby-sit a momma's girl that will cry when I'm gone, you can do that. (Though we both might prefer something you make!)
If you want more information on your blog readership, check out Google Analytics. (I can help you if you need help setting it up.) It gives you reports of how many people read your blog each day, where they are (shows a map) and more. It doesn't, however, tell you specific names of who visits your blog.
This is a great idea! I think I will be doing the same on my blog :)
Yeah, I definitely check your blog regularly. You're pretty much secretly one of my heroes.
Hey, anonymous posting allowed now? Brave of you.

Well..., I would like to comment too... so that I can get a back massage or something. Oh..., am I too late...?
I guess I am post-challenged. My comment that I can't seem to get through is, "You already gave me the gift --You!"
I'm so glad you posted comments on my blog! We reformatted out computer recently and I forgot to write down all our bookmarks, so I lost lots of good stuff :( but I find them again little by little. So now I can read your blog again! Yay!
