Dinner-First Night

If it seems the majority of our photos from the recent trip to Hong Kong involve culinary settings, that might be due to the fact that we ate continuously during our stay. Chinese are a food-oriented people. Snails, chicken feet, oysters and clams, not to mention beef tendon soup; let the chewy textures abound! Mama Tam was quick to discover she could get me to eat her cooking more readily when she "Americanized" it. I feel ashamed to admit I was a true baby about the all-too authentic cuisine. Give it a little time and some prayers for help, and someday I'm sure I will love all that fresh Chinese cookin'.
